Originally from Canada, Laurence moved to East London in June 2017 to join Mzantsi Wakho as a Fieldwork  Coordinator. Her current tasks include ensuring quality of data collected, providing logistical support to the team, and data management.

She holds a Masters degree in Public Health from the University of Montréal, Canada, which led her to conduct research on social and structural factors shaping HIV risk among people who inject drugs. In the future, she hopes to combine her background in public health and international development to contribute to the development of practical solutions to global health problems.
