Lesley

Lesley Gittings is a co-investigator and qualitative researcher with Mzantsi Wakho and a doctoral candidate in Public Health at the University of Cape Town. She is a fellow of the South African Social Science and HIV Programme (SASH) and a research associate with the University of Cape Town’s AIDS and Society Research Unit.

Lesley has consulted and worked with several Southern African and Canadian HIV and health organizations over the past 10 years. She holds a Masters degree in Public Policy and Administration from the University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Ottawa in Canada.

She enjoys being part of the vibrant and passionate Mzantsi Wakho team. Her research interests include sexual health and HIV, gender, decolonization and biomedical and traditional understandings of health and wellness.
