Nisso originally comes from Tajikistan and grew up in Canada. She moved to East London to work for Mzantsi Wakho. She joined the team in October 2015 and is working as an Assistant Project  Manager.  Her tasks include handling logistics for the coordination of fieldwork activities, liaising with communities, human resources, assisting in management of staff and communicating with research supervisors. Her favourite aspect of the project is the role it plays in collecting data that can inform health related policies in South Africa and contribute to improving the health of adolescents. In the future, Nisso hopes to continue working in the public/global health sphere, with a particular focus on women and children.
